Description: 

Carbon steel properties vary according to the amount of carbon in them. As the carbon content increases, the hardness, tensile and yield properties of steels increase. In addition, as the amount of carbon increases, properties such as ductility and impact resistance decrease.

In cases where the amount of carbon increases, the plastic forming properties of steels also decrease. Apart from this, the steels are heated and quenched with martensitic transformation and the steels are hardened. As the amount of carbon in the steel increases, the steel loses its weldability and water absorption ability.
